Building Power
Bringing Change
Rebuilding SWANA
The SUMOOD Fund partners grassroots efforts across the SWANA region to advance equity, restore dignity, and promote community-led recovery in the face of conflict and injustice.
What we do
We are committed to three core pillars of work, which shape the way we support and empower our partners:
Resource
We offer flexible, multi-year grants to organizations and initiatives that are focused on building alternatives to the destructive effects of war, colonialism, and imperialism.
A peer-to-peer support system to facilitate regional collaboration and collective learning.
Sustain
We aim to support communities in transition to transform their futures by promoting recovery and strengthening resilience.

Uncover our Story
The SUMOOD Fund is a newly established, participatory fund and civil society support organization committed to promoting grassroots-led rebuilding efforts throughout the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region.
Created by and for the people of this region, the SUMOOD Fund aims to address the deep-rooted causes and damaging consequences of imperialism and conflict, while prioritizing the dignity and autonomy of its communities.
The fund is developed and led by frontline organizers with diverse, localized expertise in the critical issues affecting SWANA countries, working to empower grassroots initiatives through funding and capacity building.
As part of global networks, SUMOOD Fund connects with key players worldwide, but remains deeply embedded in local contexts, advocating for change within and across the region.
